Paintings

This is a selection of Osvaldo Coluccino’s paintings, executed between 1993 and 1996. They are made in mixed media on canvas (pastels, pencils, kaolin, watercolour, tempera, acrylic, colored powders and earths, glues, magical phrases). The first series is entitled Fondale marino (Seabed), 1993-94, the second series is entitled Camera di sole (Sun room), 1995-96. There is also a previous series of 5 paintings, the first, entitled Scuola marina (Marine school), 1993, which is not shown here for now.

Some paintings from the Fondale marino series, precisely the first 4 shown below in the photos, were exhibited at the Civic Museum of Modern Art “Revoltella” in Trieste, in the collective exhibition Musica senza suono – segni e disegni di musicisti italiani (Music without sound – signs and drawings of Italian musicians), Municipality of Trieste Department of Culture, Revoltella Museum, 21 June-31 August 1999, and were published in the relevant catalogue, Art& editions, 1999.

The Camera di sole paintings appear publicly for the first time here (for now only in photography), November 2023.
