BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

Osvaldo Coluccino (1963) is a poet and composer. He was discovered as a poet in 1990 by Stefano Agosti, who led him to debut on Annuario di poesia 1991-92, Crocetti publisher.
    He has published the books Strumenti d’uso comune (introduction by Stefano Agosti, Udine 1994, now in Prematuri umori); Quelle volte spontanee (critical note by Giuliano Gramigna, Verona 1996); Appuntamento (afterworld by Giorgio Luzzi, Verona 2001); Gamete (afterworld by Gilberto Isella, Torino 2014); Scomparsa, tragedies (Pasturna 2020), Cieli d’assenzio, poems (introduction by Giovanni Tesio, Lanciano 2023); L’abbaglio del volatile, prose and stories (Lanciano 2024).
    His texts have appeared in prestigious literary magazines (including “Il Verri”), in anthologies (one of them with a foreword by Maria Corti) and have been presented or exhibited for example at the Civic Library of Verona (for winning the Lorenzo Montano Prize, 1996), at the Civic Museum of Modern Art of Trieste (in Music without sound, 1999), at the Venice Biennale (in Poetic Bunker by Marco Nereo Rotelli, 2001)…
    He has also published artist books consisting of his poems and original works by renowned artists (Tommaso Cascella, Bruno Ceccobelli, Alfonso Filieri, Marco Gastini, Franco Guerzoni, Giulia Napoleone, Wainer Vaccari, and Giulio Paolini has created an original cover work, books worked by the most renowned Italian art printing houses such as Il Bulino of Rome, Calcografia Al Pozzo of Dogliani Castello, Fratelli Manfredi of Reggio Emilia, Pulcinoeditore of Osnago, Il Ragazzo Innocuo of Milan, Archivio Orolontano of Rome, and exhibited for example at the Gallery of Modern Art in Turin, at the Poletti Civic Library of Art and Architecture with the University of Bologna in the Festivalfilosofia of Modena, at the Madre Museum in Naples, at the Castello di Rivoli Museum of Contemporary Art).
      Renowned scholars, literary critics and philosophers have written about his poetry.
    As a composer he was discovered by Luigi Pestalozza. His music has been published by RAI Trade editions, commissioned by Venice Biennale, RAI National Symphony Orchestra, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Transit Festival Leuven, Muziekcentrum De Bijloke Festival Gent, Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, Milano Musica-Teatro alla Scala, Orchestra della Toscana, Angelica Festival with Orchestra del Teatro Comunale di Bologna, has been recorded on discs of the major contemporary classical music labels such as Kairos (Vienna), Neos (Munich), Col legno (Vienna), Die Schachtel (Milan), Another Timbre (Scheffield), RAI Trade (Rome) and performed in many international festivals.
    He dedicated his life to artistic creation but also to personally helping abandoned and desperate cats, and sometimes other creatures too. Always active for animal rights, against any exploitation of animals, he has been a vegetarian since 1980.
